GIVING BACK AT ADVENTUROUS IDEAS

Giving back is an integral part of Adventurous Ideas Oy’s broader mission to bridge business and activism. Alongside our investment activities, we support organizations that promote nature conservation, animal rights, and social well-being – building a foundation for a more sustainable future.

We provide support through a continuous project grant call launching in August 2025, as well as through strategic partnerships. The project grant call is aimed at non-profit organizations working on initiatives that advance animal rights and/or nature conservation. Strategic partnerships are not open for application; they are formed based on needs identified through the company’s networks and collaborations. Through these two channels, we are able to support both long-term, structural work and new initiatives, pilot projects, and grassroots efforts.

We believe that impactful and lasting change requires both ideological courage and practical support structures. The goal of our giving back activities is to enable projects that raise awareness and shift attitudes, strengthen public discourse, foster collaboration between actors, and support the operational capacity of those working in animal rights and nature conservation. In the coming years, we will also explore expanding to new focus areas. Any updates on new thematic areas will be announced on our website.

Project Grant Focus Areas

Project grants are awarded in two main thematic areas: animal rights and nature conservation. These themes and their subcategories are interconnected and may partially overlap – this is accounted for in the application process.

Animal Rights

Raising Awareness, Enhancing Public Discourse, and Advocacy:
We support projects that make animal rights more visible in the media and public debate, and that promote political advocacy.

Promoting Veganism and Plant-Based Diets:
We fund campaigns and practical initiatives that improve access to plant-based food and foster positive attitudes toward animal-friendly choices.

Collaboration:
We encourage collaboration both within the animal rights field and with external actors – such as joint projects and partnerships with other sectors. Collaborative projects must align with other funding focus areas.

Strengthening Resources:
We support projects that improve financial sustainability and enable long-term animal rights work, such as fundraising models or new collaborative structures.

Nature Conservation

Biodiversity:
We support projects that protect endangered species and habitats or restore ecosystems as part of safeguarding biodiversity.

Collaboration:
We fund projects that strengthen cooperation among conservation actors or create interdisciplinary partnerships. Collaborative projects must align with other funding focus areas.

Raising Awareness, Environmental Education, and Advocacy:
We support efforts that enhance understanding of nature and elevate conservation as part of public discourse and decision-making. This also includes environmental education projects.

Strengthening Resources:
We aim to support the financial sustainability and operational capacity of actors by supporting fundraising development and new funding models.
